Donald Glover Reveals He's Expecting Baby No. 2 During Emmys 2017 Speech

He won Emmys for Best Actor and Best Director for his breakout FX hit Atlanta. It was a hugely successful evening for Donald, who had made history earlier in the night when he took home the award for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for Atlanta, making him the first-ever African American victor of that prize. It didn't pick up any awards last night, but did win five awards at an earlier ceremony for technical categories. Lena scripted the "Thanksgiving" episode of Aziz Ansari's Master Of None Netflix series. "I want to thank my unborn son, we're listening to Stevie tonight". Last year, it was reported (but never really confirmed) that Glover and his girlfriend at the time (presumable, Michelle) had just welcomed a new baby, a son.

Glover also broke a four-year streak of female directors taking home the award for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. Glover is also known by his music stage name Childish Gambino. "He's the reason I'm probably up here". "I just wanted to make a really great show".

"I want to thank Michelle, my partner, you love me even with how insane I get", he said. "It would not be as attractive as it is if we weren't in it". "The series is wholly original in that it's an existential young black comedy about surviving the day - without explicitly trying to be representative of any of those things". He won Sunday night for his show, "Atlanta".

Among actors, the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama series was bagged by Sterling K. Brown, for "This Is Us", John Lithgow ("The Crown") got the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series and the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series Emmy went to Ann Dowd for "The Handmaid's Tale". His breakout role came in 2009 when he began playing Troy Barnes on NBC's "Community".

He's also on board to voice Simba in Disney's upcoming remake of The Lion King.

Waithe is developing her autobiographical series The Chi for Showtime, with other projects in tow.
