Dolly Parton celebrated in all-star Grammys tribute

Not when you're honoring somebody as legendary as Dolly Parton.

Dolly and Miley fans have been rejoicing over the ideal rendition of between the long-time family friends.

Parton, an eight-time Grammy victor, was serenaded by her goddaughter, Miley Cyrus, Little Big Town, Katy Perry, Maren Morris and Kacey Musgraves. She's a musical genius, as well as a living legend! Parton-with her big hair, glittering white power suit and stilettos-does the same and we love her (and them) for it.

Parton was also honoured at the MusiCares gala on Saturday night, where Cyrus, Perry, Shawn Mendes, Willie Nelson, Brandi Carlile and Little Big Town had performed for the star.

"I actually sent him a DM", Cyrus told Variety's Marc Malkin.

Parton blended beautifully with her goddaughter Miley Cyrus on "Jolene". They can be nerve-wracking, but they can also be very fun, and ultimately, I just try to find my center within all of that, find my calm.

The impressive performance ended with a blast of the iconic smash 9 to 5 - from the 1980 film of the same name.

Meanwhile, Miley, Lady Gaga, Travis Scott, Diana Ross, and Cardi B were among a crowded field of performers scheduled for Sunday night's Grammy Awards. "I think do you girl as long as you do you and I do me will be good", she said.

Parton, an eight-time Grammy victor, performed for the first time on the Grammys stage since 2001.

Blending their vocals, Miley kept the melody while Dolly dazzled on her harmonies - but the best harmonizing came right after.
