Device will allegedly come out in October 2016 or March 2017

The release of the upcoming Surface Pro 5 is dubbed to compete with Apple's MacBook Pro 2016 and iPad Pro 2. Or, as the ad states, the Mac is "less useful, like a hat for your cat". Consequently, this now suggests that the release date of the new smartphone will be postponed to next year, specifically in March 2017.

Microsoft's incessant advertising of the Macbook Air and Pro effectively ends up portraying the Surface brand as subservient to Apple's devices.

Furthermore, the device will have a new rechargeable Surface Pen that will attach magnetically. However, there are also reports that the display will offer a 2K display.

Simple titled "Get the Surface Pro", the new ad has a focus on the tablet's ability to write and doodle on the screen with the included stylus. That should provide more than enough firepower for the average business user looking for a portable work device.

Additionally, Microsoft is also expected to release at least one Surface Book 2 variant with 4K screen and VR support. But the MacBook Air is... and has always been... a traditional laptop.

Just like in previous ads, Microsoft touts the same advantages that the Surface Pro has over MacBooks. Instead, customers can separately purchase a Type Cover with a fingerprint sensor for the Surface Pro 4.

However, it is still unknown which unit under its Surface line would be unveiled. It killed off Android tablets and it stopped Chromebook's market aggression. If so, this can help bring Apple's sales back to its feet. Apple has become the stale greedy company and all of the followers are now the sheep they used to mock.

The Surface Phone is what has me most excited, but in a more academic sense. It is my business laptop/tablet/note taker. best business investment.

Meanwhile, to create more excitement among the anticipating potential buyers, the report hinted that their patience will surely be paid off because of two huge upgrades that the device will be packed with.

A possible price for Surface Pro 5 would start the same with Surface Pro 4 with a starting price of $900 for the Surface Pro 5's Core, Intel Core i7 for $1000 and i7 Extreme version for $1600.
