Derby V Leeds United Rocked By Remarkable Training Ground Spy Row

"It doesn't matter if this is legal, illegal, right or wrong, for me it's enough that Frank Lampard and Derby County felt it was not the right thing to do".

Derby County midfielder Mason Mount has warned Leeds United that results suggest the Rams have extra desire to punch above their weight when they are playing away from home.

Derby boss Frank Lampard gave his view on the matter in the build up to the match and was clearly not happy at the tactics.

In a statement, they said officers were called to Derby's training ground on Thursday morning and a man was spoken to at the perimeter fence.

Bielsa confirmed in an interview before kick off at Elland Road this evening that the person at Derby's training ground was sent there by himself.

"I'm the only one responsible for it, I didn't ask Leeds for permission to do that".

What's more, he's been "using this practice" for some time now.

Derby manager Frank Lampard has revealed that his team's training sessions have been spied upon by Leeds on two occasions this season.

"Talking about "I did it somewhere else, it's fine" - that doesn't work for me".

'It's disrupted our build-up to this game, and the unfortunate thing for us is it's disrupted us from our end without doing anything. People are going to say I'm trying to make an excuse - but I'm going to speak like this after the game win, lose or draw.

'No. and I don't care if it's cultural and it happens in another country.

Police had to come to the training ground, so that was disruptive.

'We had somebody [spy on us] the first game we played against them, which we lost 4-1.

"We were training on team tactics, shape, personnel, and the fact that Harry Wilson wasn't training". If preparation and tactics are not part of the game and quite sacred that you can work on them in your own training ground, then I think they must be lucky managers.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Lampard said: 'I don't think we need to [make a complaint] because he has admitted it.

Derby, who now occupy the final playoff position in the league table, have amassed 43 points from 26 games in the Championship.
