Darren Criss Cast As Serial Killer Andrew Cunanan in 'American Crime Story'

Even though the cast for the second season (Katrina: American Crime Story) is still being announced, we already have a plot line and some headliners for the third season.

Darren previously worked with Ryan on his hit musical TV series Glee, where he starred as teen singer Blaine Anderson, and also had a small role in season five of American Horror Story: Hotel.

Versace will be played by Edgar Ramirez of "The Bourne Ultimatum", per E! But who is Andrew Cunanan, exactly?

To this day, his motives for the murders remain a mystery; although speculation swirled at the time over the fact that both he and his famous victim were gay men, it is now generally accepted that Cunanan he suffered from antisocial personality disorder, resulting in a general lack of empathy. He committed suicide eight days after killing Versace. Tentatively titled "Versace/Cunanan: American Crime Story", the FX network show will debut in 2018 over 10 episodes. The season will be based on the 1999 book Vulgar Favors, by Vanity Fair writer Maureen Orth.

Consistent with Mr. Murphy's repeat casting of the same actors within his anthologies, Lady Gaga has appeared in two seasons of American Horror Story.

Following the award-winning success of The People v. O. J. Simpson, Season 2 of American Crime Story will focus on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, while Season 4 will delve into the Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky affair.
