Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Real Madrid to sign with Juventus

Real Madrid have sold Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus in a sensational deal worth £105million.

Neville was Ronaldo's team-mate at Manchester United between 2003-2009 before the five time Ballon d'Or victor moved to the Bernabeu in a then World Record £80 million deal.

The Bianconeri are understood to be increasingly confident of signing the five-time Ballon D'or victor in the ongoing summer transfer.

"These years at Real Madrid, and in this city of Madrid, were possibly the happiest of my life", he said.

Ronaldo leaves Madrid with the absurd scoring record of 450 goals in 438 games, winning four European Cups and two La Liga titles.

Cristiano Ronaldo has completed his transfer to Italian club Juventus from Real Madrid for a reported 100 million Euros. Ronaldo, who joined Real from Manchester United for a then world-record £80 million (S$143 million) in 2009, has complained in the past on several occasions that his Real salary of €23.6 million is too low.

At some time in the winter, it's believed that Real Madrid struck a gentleman's agreement with CR7 that he could leave for €100m, rather than his €1bn release clause, as long as he didn't join a direct rival.

Portugal talisman Cristiano Ronaldo became just the fourth player to score in four different World Cup tournaments (2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018) after Pele, Uwe Seeler and Miroslav Klose.

On April 3, Juventus were pushing hard to equalise at home to Real Madrid in the Champions League. The player and his agent, Jorge Mendes, met the Juventus chairman, Andrea Agnelli, in Greece on Tuesday to discuss the final details of the deal. Real Madrid has conquered my heart and that of my family's, too.

Ronaldo's double against Juventus in the 2017 showpiece means he is the only player in history to have found the net in three finals.

"I have reflected a lot and I know that the time has come for a new cycle", he continued.

Marca added that English striker Harry Kane has been linked to Real Madrid as well. "The shirt, the club badge and the Santiago Bernabeu will always feel like mine".

In Real Madrid's statement on the website, they said: "Cristiano Ronaldo will always be one of the greatest symbols of the club and a unique reference for the next generation".

Ronaldo is comfortably the UEFA Champions League's all-time leading scorer, his 120 total a full 20 clear of second-placed Lionel Messi.
