Court verdict on superstar Dileep's latest bail plea on Monday

His wife and actor Kavya Madhavan on Saturday approached the Kerala High Court seeking anticipatory bail.

The move comes even as the Angamaly court is set to consider the bail plea of her husband and actor Dileep, who was arrested for allegedly plotting the attack. "They openly threatened that she would be made an accused unless certain illegal demands (they raised) were met", she said in her plea.

The key accused in the abduction and assault case Sunil Kumar had dropped the names of Kavya Madhavan among others alleging their involvement. In her petition, she added that her husband was falsely implicated in the case and that he had never met Pulsar Suni. He was suspected to have handed over the mobile phone that was used to record the crime against the survivor to an unidentified person in the store and is also widely speculated that Rs 2 lakh was received by Suni in return.

Kerala actress abduction case Court to hear Dileep's bail plea on Monday

Dileep is now in judicial custody after his bail plea was rejected by the court thrice. However, a conspiracy angle cropped up much later that led to Dileep's arrest.

The high court had dismissed Dileep's second bail petition on August 29, after considering the evidence against the actor produced by the prosecution in a sealed cover. Meanwhile, Angamaly court will decide on Dileep's bail application on Monday. Suni, in his statements to the media, has said that Kavya gave him money to carry out Dileep's dirty works but was not aware of what the money was meant for. Their visit lasted 20 minutes, said official sources.

As the investigation has reached the final stage, rumors have been rife the cops would make more arrests.
