Colt McCoy heads to locker room; Mark Sanchez in at QB

"It was a tall task, no doubt", he said. Or, he said, they want someone who is similar in style to Sanchez.

"I'm heartbroken for both those guys, really". They're great competitors and great people. You get paid to go win.

That brings us to Monday night, when the Philadelphia Eagles pulled off an easy 28-13 victory over the Washington Redskins.

The Redskins have lost their last three games and are now tied for second place with the Eagles at 6-6 in the NFC East.

That said, while the NFL is an unpredictable league, on a broad scale, the Redskins showcased numerous same faults that rendered them limited for much of the season in the first half. Starting a third-string quarterback exacerbates the situation.

The Redskins were already down a QB after losing Alex Smith last week to another catastrophic leg injury.

Jay Gruden says that from what he understands QB Colt McCoy fractured his fibula and will miss the remainder of the 2018 season. He was 4-2 in the postseason and helped the Jets beat Peyton Manning and Tom Brady in consecutive road playoff games in January 2011.

"There's not a lot of time to get a brand-new quarterback and system installed in a couple of days", he said. He actually did a pretty good job there for a while. "But you know it was tough, it was tough". Enter Sanchez for his first National Football League action in almost two years. While he can string together a few good passes here and there, the mistakes always linger around the corner with Sanchez.
