The forty first flight of India's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C39), conducted today (August 31, 2017) evening from Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota , was unsuccessful. Usually, a number of tests are performed on the heat shield to guarantee successful separation. Queried about the impact of the mission failure on getting commercial launch projects, the ISRO chairman said the issue has to be studied.
