California hit with 'Sanctuary State' highway sign prank: 'Democrats Need The Votes!'

Homan believes that government officials that enforce sanctuary policies are indeed concealing undocumented immigrants from detection by ICE, and should be held accountable.

Tuesday afternoon, Homan endorsed bringing charges against elected officials in such cities.

"As I've always said, there's only one way to deal with bullies, and that is to stand your ground and stand with the people, and that's what we'll continue to do in Sacramento", Steinberg said.

The effect the law will have on the safety of the community will be devastating, he argued.

"There's no sanctuary from federal law enforcement", Director Homan told Cavuto.

Addressing California Governor Jerry Brown, "If he thinks he's protecting the immigrant community, he's doing quite the opposite", Homan stated. We got to take these sanctuary cities on.

The prank signs came at the same time California became a "sanctuary state" after a bill that was signed in October went into effect Monday.

"Multiple courts have ruled that the Constitution or federal law prohibits the Trump administration's efforts to intimidate states and localities into participating in draconian immigration enforcement tactics".

Brown reiterated that under the new law, immigration agents remain able to gain access to California jails to conduct routine interviews, and will still receive cooperation in deportation proceedings involving state prisoners and those in local jails that have committed serious offenses listed in the TRUST Act.

"If the politicians in California don't want to protect their citizens, then ICE will", he expressed.

"The bill risks the safety of good law enforcement officers and the safety of the neighborhoods that need their protection the most", Attorney General Jeff Sessions said past year, according to the Los Angeles Times. The city has already made it illegal for city employees to ask about the immigration status of its residents.

"What if they do just that, what do you do?"

Another was removed from I-40 in the Needles area near the California-Nevada border. "There is no sanctuary from federal law enforcement", said Homan.

Homan says he having the Justice Department look into whether sanctuary cities are violating federal law relating to "harboring certain aliens".

Homan said that President Donald Trump shares his views on this matter.
