Elizabeth Hurley has said her nephew lost more than four pints of blood after being repeatedly stabbed in a mob attack.
Model Miles Hurley and another 21-year-old man were left with non-life-threatening injuries when they were assaulted by a group of men in Nine Elms, south London just before 9pm on Thursday. She then took to her Twitter account to thank the police and hospital staff for being "fantastic". "Thank you for all your messages", she continued.
Hurley has often posted selfies with her nephew calling him "handsome" and sharing pics of family occasions, which include her son Damian.
"The police will be appealing for witnesses". As of now, the second man has been discharged, but the man believed to be Miles is still being treated.
Miles and a friend, both 21, were stabbed in Nine Elms, South West London after they overtook a vehicle minutes earlier, according to a source close to the police investigation.
"There have been no arrests".
Hurley returned to London shortly after Thursday's attack on Miles Hurley.
Hurley - who is close to Miles, a budding model - was photographed arriving at Heathrow airport on Friday morning, presumably to be by Miles' side.
"His family feared the worst. Road closures were also in place but have since been lifted".
"We are praying that these animals are caught before they maim, or even kill, someone else", she wrote.
A friend of the family said in the Sun newspaper: "Unfortunately, the knife hit vital organs".
Thought to be very close with his aunt, in March 2017 he posted a sweet throwback snap on Instagram of his mother Kate Curran and Elizabeth, writing, "Love & appreciation for all the strong, happy and independent women around me".
