Ava DuVernay's 'A Wrinkle In Time' Finally Has Its First Trailer

Director Ava DuVernay revealed the official US teaser trailer for A Wrinkle In Time, her adaptation of Madeleine L'Engle's acclaimed novel, at the D23 Expo before sharing it on Twitter.

A Wrinkle in Time, an adaptation of Madeliene L'Engle's 1963 science fiction classic and longtime young-adult favorite, has been in development from Disney since at least 2014. In the central part is Storm Reid, essentially a newcomer, with an associate cast that incorporates Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Oprah Winfrey, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Chris Pine and Zach Galifianakis.

What I know for sure is that with Black Panther is expected to drop in mid-February and Wrinkle a few weeks later, this winter, I don't know if you will be able to get us out of theaters.

Disney's A Wrinkle in Time movie is directed by Ava DuVernay (Selma) and produced by Jim Whitaker and Catherine Hand. In fact, DuVernay made history with that film for being the first African-American woman to helm a movie with a budget of $100 million. Everything looked nice, I have no problem with niceness, but I was reminded of NBC's Emerald City. It's explained that the scientist is trapped by a rapidly spreading darkness and Meg is the only one who can stop it.

She joked: 'What's the name of that company that puts you in a cryogenic sleep until the Wrinkle in Time movie comes out?' "A family story wrapped in an epic adventure where you see worlds you've never seen before-it's the flawless place". Oprah Winfrey plays Mrs.

We've been looking forward to this one for a while now due to its incredible cast and talented director, and this first trailer definitely doesn't disappoint. "She let me put my creative position in it", said Reid.

Mindy Kaling, whose wise and ancient character Mrs Whatsit speaks only in riddles, says that her dialogue has been given a modern twist. The film opens in March 2018.
