Nitish Kumar was rescued safely by his security but two security men in his convoy were injured. "Investigation underway", news agency ANI quoted Anand Kishore, Commissioner, Patna Division as saying. He added: "The CM of the state was attacked, but no one has mentioned about "maha-jungleraj" because the one who talked of jungleraj is not the deputy CM of the state".
BiharChief Minister Nitish Kumar's cavalcade was pelted with bricks and stones on Friday when he was on his way to Nandan village in Buxar district as part of his "Vikas Samiksha Yatra".
As per media reports, a section of people was not happy with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's decision to avoid a visit at lower community. Although the chief minister escaped unhurt, some of his security men sustained serious injuries.
Kumar started his state-wide campaign on Friday following a review of certain developmental projects he had initiated a couple of years ago.
Earlier in the yatra, when some protesters waved black flags at Sulindabad village in Saharsa, Mr. Kumar had said wryly, "What is wrong with black colour?"
The convoy continued moving towards its destination where the chief minister launched 168 schemes involving an expenditure of Rs 272 crore before addressing a public meeting.
