Ubisoft has released a brand new trailer for Assassin's Creed Origins. Known only as "The Order of the Ancients", the sect operates from the shadows, manipulating the pharoah and extending their power and control across Egypt.
The trailer is almost two minutes in length, shot in-game and gives chilling introductions on the powers of the Order of the Ancients and how they could cause the doom of ancient Egypt.
Publisher Ubisoft dropped the trailer on Thursday, showing actual game footage captured in 4K quality. The video references biblical plagues, shows off some Roman architecture, battling warships, war elephants and a crucifixion scene.
Assassin's Creed Origins is set for release October 27 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The Order of the Ancients, according to the trailer is the reason for Bayek's pain and anger.
The trailer has a serious political tone in its narration stating that the people must stand up to the Order of the Ancients saying in quote "If you do not act this country will burn to the ground". While shedding light on the game's villains, little was revealed about the game's protagonist assassin, Bayek, beyond a few action shots of combat between Bayek and the Order. It will run at 4K resolution on the PC and Xbox One X.
