As per an announcement on Arsenal.com, Arsenal have completed the signing of Matteo Guendouzi from Lorient in a deal reportedly worth £7m. We profile the teenager.
Arsenal have completed the signing of Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira from Italian side Sampdoria. We take a look.
Guendouzi began his career as a member of Paris Saint-Germain's youth setup before joining Lorient's academy in 2014.
Matteo made his first-team debut for Lorient aged 17 in October 2016 and went on to make 30 appearances.
It turns out Torreira has a rocket of a right foot and last season he scored a stunning free-kick from 35 yards against Chievo.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Arsenal had edged ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign the 16-year-old.
Internationally, he has represented France at U18, U19 and U20 level - scoring once for the latter two age groups - and has been compared to fellow countryman Adrien Rabiot.
And he has spoken out on how joining Arsenal in the Premier League is a dream come true.
"He is a young player already with good experience, but who wants to keep on growing".
"It gives me great pride - it's incredible". I hope I can do great things here.
"I'm hugely proud. My hope is to become a top player here at Arsenal".
It seems Unai Emery is looking forward to using the youngster in the first team next season even though most of the Arsenal fans thought that the new signing would be sent to the under-23 squad since he is still young.
Nine of Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham squad are still representing their respective countries in Russian Federation - before they begin the adaptation process at their new stadium - while both Manchester clubs have seven players who are yet to go on holiday.
