Angelina Jolie Claims Brad Pitt Has Not Paid 'Meaningful' Child Support

Meanwhile, a second source tells ET, "Brad always fulfills his commitments" when it comes to his children.

According to a new report by TMZ, Angelina Jolie is asking a judge to grant her a divorce from Brad Pitt, prior to the judge even deciding on their child custody agreement.

Angelina Jolie reportedly wants to divorce Brad Pitt as soon as humanely possible - even though the pair have been fighting for custody of their children for nearly two years.

Jolie's attorney filed papers in Los Angeles Superior Court saying the actress wanted a judgment "returning the parties to single status during calendar year 2018".

Angelina Jolie's rep has been contacted for comment.

Brad and Angelina announced their split in September 2016 and while their separation initially seemed amicable, the divorce battle has been dragging on for almost two years.

The document also said that Pitt has "paid no meaningful child support since separation" and said that although informal arrangements had been made with him, payments "had not been regularly sustained". Pitt, 54, and Jolie, 43, share six children ages 9 to 16. The couple have six children together and Angelina is also looking to get primary custody of all of them with the divorce.

In California, child support is decided between the parents, so it's unclear what "meaningful" means in the context of two ridiculously wealthy celebrities - especially when your kids are so kitted out in designer brands that an average outfit costs the same as a university degree. Last week, Jolie's spokesperson denied to ET that Jolie was parting ways with Wasser after a TMZ report claimed that the attorney was quitting over internal conflicts with Jolie.

"There will be no settlement or resolution anytime soon. They are kind of at an impasse at this point because the focus has been on custody; nothing else has been hashed out yet".

Earlier this year the pair clashed over Angelina's wish to take the children to Europe whilst she was shooting Maleficent 2 - a move Pitt opposed.
