Andromeda heading to Origin Access

EA Access is available on Xbox One for $29.99/£19.99 a year or for $4.99/£3.99 a month.

If you were among the many who opted to skip out on Mass Effect: Andromeda following its poor reception among consumers, then you'll soon have a chance to see firsthand what the fuss was all about.

Aside from Mass Effect, Dead Space 3 is also heading to the Access Vault, capping off the complete trilogy. BioWare did release patches that fixed nearly all of the issues, but the game's reputation had taken a hammering, and it just wasn't on par with the brilliant original trilogy. Are you excited to go through Mass Effect Andromeda or more excited about getting early access to some of EAs biggest titles of the season? The Star Wars Battlefront 2 Play First Trial is also coming, as is a trial version of Need for Speed: Payback.

For those unfamiliar with EA Access and Origin Access, both are subscription services that get you access to a collection of EA and EA partner games you can play for free at any time, along with early access trials of upcoming EA games. The Battlefront 2 blurb isn't specific about whether the number of trial hours are limited, while Payback says it'll be restricted to 10 hours ahead of launch.

KitGuru Says: Games tend to hit the Access Vault around nine months after release but that timing seems to have been accelerated for Andromeda.

The Sims™ 4 Play First Trial - The smash-hit life sim is on its way to Xbox One! Finder receives a small percentage when you purchase a game via finder's price comparison.
