But, A bench of Madras High Court on Monday late night did not stay the ruling AIADMK'sGeneral Council meeting on Tuesday but said the decisions taken at the meeting are subject to its final decision. According to sources, at Tuesday's meeting, resolutions would be moved to give full powers to Chief Minister Edappadi K.Palaniswami and O. Panneerselvam of the Amma and Puratchi Thalaivi Amma (PTA) factions.
Dismissing AIADMK MLA and Dinakaran loyalist Vetrivel's petition, the High Court told him to approach the Election Commission. Now, the party affairs will be exclusively be under the control of the panel headed by O Panneerselvam and chief minister Edapaddi Palanisami.

The judges sat beyond court hours to hear arguments rendered by representing counsel, before upholding the order of the single judge declining staying the meeting scheduled for today.
Only Sasikala can replace Amma (J Jayalalithaa), says Dinakaran.
Appointments made by TTV Dinakaran have been declared invalid by the AIADMK general council. The pre-condition for the merger by the Panneerselvam's camp has been Sasikala's ouster.
In a parallel development, Mr. Dhinakaran hardened his stance against the government headed by Edappadi K. Palaniswami and warned in Madurai that he would not hesitate to send the regime packing.
