As the release date of "Padmavati" draws near, the protests against the film are getting louder but looks like a solution is on the horizon. The police officials then detained the protesters but later released them.
Following Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez too has spoke out in support of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Padmavati. According to a report in Hindustan Times, Mansinh Rathod, who is leading the Gujarat's Karni Sena, said that Bhansali had distorted historical facts.
This is to notice that some Rajput communities people and some ruling government ministers have also spoken about the film and they have targetted a rumoured dream sequence between Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji. Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore has also given her opinion on Padmavati's ongoing controversies. His films never have any vulgarity. The COO of Viacom18 Motion Pictures (the co-producer of the film) has said that they do not have a problem with showing their film to those doubting its content.
Mr. Vij said though it is the Central Board of Film Certification's prerogative, it should stall the release of the film keeping in view the people's sentiments. "The character assassination of Padmavati will not be tolerated at any level".
Although Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming epic drama Padmavati has been facing a lot of criticism and dissension since early this year, one of the film's lead actors Shahid Kapoor, who plays Maharawal Ratan Singh in the film, recently broke his silence for the first time over the controversies surrounding the movie.
