A real taste of fall returns Friday

He says Friday's temperatures were cooler than normal, with some parts of CT seeing temperatures as low as 62 degrees.

Friday, mostly cloudy skies with light rain showers in the late afternoon will keep our temperatures a bit cooler, only rising into the lower 80s for highs. The nice stretch of weather continues until mid week next week with scattered showers and storms returning to the forecast. Unfortunately, it won't last because a few showers and t-storms are possible today as a cold front pushes through. Temperatures in the mid 60s. Highs will likely stay in the mid 80s both Sunday and Monday but could potentially reach the upper 80s.

Now what about the all important Labor Day Holiday weekend?

Skies will become mostly clear again tonight after dark, allowing another steep drop in temperatures.

Thu: High: 83 Low: 57 Mostly sunny. As Harvey remnants crawl up the Ohio Valley overnight into Saturday, it will usher in a river of moisture and instability, triggering scattered rain showers throughout the day.

Thursday.Mostly cloudy. Small rain chance. Sunday will see slowly clearing skies with warmer temperatures in the upper 70s to near 80. High: Low-mid 80s. Wind: SE/S 5-15. High: 88. Fluctuations in strength, up or down, are possible during the next few days, but Irma is expected to remain a powerful hurricane through the weekend.
